iChowns Photography

I developed the iChowns Photography portfolio to put the photographs at the centre of the experience. The site brings music, art, classic and vintage collections together, with public galleries, separate VIP access and information for print and commission enquiries.

An image-first WordPress portfolio with filterable galleries, enlarged image viewing and separate VIP gallery access.

Letting visitors explore the collection

I built the public portfolio around a filterable image grid. Visitors can choose a gallery, load further photographs and open an image at a larger size with its accompanying description.

Featured-image and slider sections provide other ways to introduce the collection while keeping the photographs prominent throughout the site.

A separate space for VIP galleries

Alongside the public collection, the build includes dedicated VIP galleries with a password entry step. Each gallery has its own title, description and image collection, allowing selected work to be presented through a separate viewing route.

An organised portfolio behind the scenes

The WordPress setup separates public portfolio images from VIP images and groups them into galleries. I built the templates around that structure, so photographs and their descriptions can be managed as content rather than being embedded into individual page layouts.

The portfolio gives the photographer a place to show the range of the work and provide context for someone considering a print or a commission.
